Upon arrival at the Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met and assisted transfer to Arusha Coffee Lodge. The aptly named Arusha Coffee Lodge lies hidden amongst the sprawling grounds of Tanzania’s largest coffee plantation, set below the rugged peaks of Mt Meru. Guests can unwind in one of the lodge’s exclusive Plantation Suites, which each boast a romantic four-poster bed draped in Egyptian cotton linen, a split-level sitting area, ensuite bathroom, an open fireplace, a personal bar and a private veranda that looks out onto rows and rows of berry-laden coffee bushes.
Guests can enjoy scrumptious meals in the Coffee Lodge lounge or sip on their favourite drinks in the bar area. A boutique store, swimming pool and garden terrace add to guest delight. Other adventures include a tour of the Shanga social enterprise as well as visits to the Museum of Natural History, the Maasai market on Faya Road and the Tanzanite Experience. A game drive in Arusha National Park, accompanied by a delicious picnic lunch, makes for a wonderful outing.

After breakfast, your safari guie will pick you on your 4x4 Safari Cruise and head out to Ngorongoro Crater. Upon arrival you will be assisted to check in at the Highlands, Ngorongoro, your home for the next two nights. There are numerous complementary thrilling adventures besides a crater floor safari, such as hiking to the top of Olmoti for astounding views, walking down to the soda lake in Empakaai Crater to see thousands of pink flamingos, and immersive cultural interactions with the local Maasai community.

It is the largest unbroken ancient caldera in the world and is teeming with wild game including elephant, zebra, lion, rhino and Thomson's gazelle. Tanzania's few remaining black rhino are protected here and often spotted in the crater. At the soda lake look out for flamingo. With grasslands, swamps, forests and the lake, the crater attracts a multitude of different wildlife that come to wallow, graze, hide and climb.

Transfer to Kogatende airstrip after breakfast for your flight to Arusha where a member of our Team will be waiting to transfer you back to Kilimanjaro airport for your return flight. You can opt to enjoy lunch at the Arusha Coffee Lodge before your return flight.
