Mahale National Park, , located in western Tanzania along the shores of Lake Tanganyika, is one of the most remote and beautiful national parks in the country. Covering approximately 1,613 square kilometres, the park is named after the Mahale Mountain range that runs through it. The Best Time to visit Mahale National Park is during the dry season, from June to October.. This period offers the best conditions for chimpanzee tracking as the animals are more active and easier to spot. The dry season also ensures more comfortable weather and easier access to the park, which can be difficult during the rainy months. The wet season (November to May) brings lush landscapes and fewer tourists, providing a more tranquil experience. However, the rainforest can be quite slippery, and some trekking routes may be challenging during this time.
